Hungary was occupied by the Ottoman Turks for 150 years. They’ve had quite enough of muslim occupation and don’t want it ever again. Also, having been stuck on the wrong side of the Iron Curtain and invaded by the Soviets when they tried to throw off communist dictatorship in 1956, they are not about to surrender their national sovereignty.
I lived there twice. Great country and very friendly people. I’m proud of them for standing up for themselves.
