Good news, they still have the 30 hour rule for them but hopefully their confirmation votes will be soon.

When the next vacation. MM is really good at getting several moved forward by voice vote right before a vacation. Then the vote is at the top of agenda when they return.

The 2 hour debate is only for district judges, the 30 hours still applies to circuit and supreme court judges.

What this will lead to possibly, and if it does let it come, is dems just NOT recognizing the rule of law in 5 or 10 years, which would lead to some bad stuff.

These are not even the semi sane dems of the 80s.

They are a whole new breed.

They are to spoiled and miserable and full of hatred of America to accept anything other than total control and probably the death of folks like us.

At least we will completely see their true colors.

‘Over the last 15 months, almost half of Trump’s nominations have received significant support from Democrats...The Democrats NEVER make a mistake on judicial nominations.’

A few may be losers, but in most cases, they’re for the District Courts and often the Dems won’t fight those - they didn’t under the Bush’s, but they fought like hell against most of the Circuit judges, since those judges actually set the precedents. They’re doing much the same now.

Nothing to worry about until the Federalist Society starts to complain...and that has only happened once, when Trump’s kids convinced him to give away some seats on the 9th earlier this year, but then Trump, thankfully, canceled that deal.

I get that same response every time I post about the District Courts.

So, if I understand correctly, even though Trump's District nominees are Conservatives, the Democrats vote for them, because they don't want to fight?

By the way, District judges write Common Law precedents all the time, which are often followed by other District judges, and often by state judges, too.

They certainly did that under prior Republicans. I remember it very well. Never a problem getting District Court judges seated, but they certainly went to the floor over Appellate Court judges.

Judicial appointments will be Trump’s legacy. Even if much of the other aspects of his administration don’t achieve the desired level of success, this will still be worth it all.

“Democrats say Mr. Trump has moved too hastily by putting people on the bench who shouldn’t be there.”

Elections have consequences, Dems. Or did they forget?

For the Dem’s no Republican should be a judge on the federal level. How will they be able to force their agenda on the American people without the courts?

Is that 55 for the previous occupant of the White House for the entire, disastrous 8 years or just his first 2.5?

They’re getting ready to fight that. Should have done it in 2017, but anytime is better than not at all.
