The editorial page of the Bangor Daily News is very left wing, so they just re-printed it.
I’ve heard people call The Bangor Daily News “Pravda on the Penobscot” (River).
President Trump carried Maine’s Second Congressional District, which is 27,000 square miles and covers 80% of the state. Candidate Trump carried this district by 10 points and received one electoral vote.
Maine’s First Congressional District....or “North Massachusetts” as we call it....covers 20% of the state in the southeast corner of Maine. It’s much more liberal than the more rural Second District.
The Hildebeast carried this district and received one electoral vote. Ms. Rotten carried the statewide vote by 2.9% and received two more electoral votes as a result. If candidate Donald Trump had run more ads he might have taken the whole state. Hillary ads were nonstop.
There was a blue wave in many areas of the country last November and that includes Maine. The antics of the RATS are starting to wake people up, fortunately. Maine had been trending more conservative in recent years but we had a setback in November 2018.
PS....Maine is strong Second Amendment country. Constitutional carry, Open carry, private sale of firearms, and all of those other good things.

I’m afraid as more and more liberals and obama imports (Somalis) move there- that may change- It’s much more liberal now than when we were there- Collins was a bad deal- can’t believe she keeps getting re-elected

I sure hope so- Maine used to be very very conservative= I am encouraged that many of the folks I knew there are still staunchly conservative- but as the new generation cell phone addicts and couch potatoes come along- they get bombarded with liberal crap day in and day out- instead of being outside enjoying life and socializing with like-minded conservatives, they sit around on social media all day and just get bombarded with liberal crap=- and I’m sure some Schools in Maine now push liberal crap too- (although I’m sure there are still some good solid conservative schools left thankfully)

Yeah, that’s what has me worried for Maine- not a good deal- let’s hope Maine rebounds conservatively- They were always such an independent minded people- strong constitutions personally- but these days there’s just more and more liberals or islamic imports invading areas-
