Let’s not be too hard on jarhead9297, after all, who of us hasn’t read the title and immediately posted?
I know I have!
Furthermore, what IS disturbing, is that in this case, how accurate would jarhead9297 normally be in making the post he did? I would say greater than 99% of the time...the actions of these students seemed so unprecedented!
The fact is, I very nearly did the same thing jarhead9297 did, but had to force myself to actually read the article.
And it DID bother me just how astonished I was that the actions of these students diverged widely from the now usual actions of students at every level all over this country, never mind the world.
Kudos to jarhead9297 for manning up and admitting that error, which nearly all of us have done at some point.
Agreed. Thank you, jarhead9297.
Agreed.
It’s sadly, rare to see that kind of common sense and astuteness out of teens these days, who generally run on feelings instead of common sense.
I’ve done my share of commenting without reading and had to eat my words as well.
They don’t taste so good the second time around.
these kids obviously have more common sense than some of their parents and most of their peers in public school. there is hope for this country.
