When I clicked your link to Truvada side effects, I learned that the drug is approved for children of age 12 and older.
I know a few men who take Truvada and intestinal discomfort is common enough but usually goes away once their body is used to the medication floating around. I also know one young man who is HIV+ and I know he wishes Truvada would've been available to him before his trust was misplaced in someone else.
It's no different from wearing condoms or the use of birth control pills or some of the other things no one things twice about in 2019.
The best treatment for HIV is not to be exposed but you can't always trust the person you're with even in a marriage.
