House Democrats are threatening the salaries of Interior, Commerce and Justice Department staff if they block ongoing committee investigations.
House Oversight and Reform Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) sent letters Tuesday calling for eight current and former Trump administration officials to provide information for two of the panel’s investigations, cautioning that officials who block the interviews from taking place could see their salaries withheld.

There was massive slaughter and retribution after the American revolution (which really started out possibly classified as a civil war) against the Loyalists who comprised about 25%-to-30% of the American population... Many of those who survived fled to Canada... The rest clustered in the major cities with their heads down sulking for many years... Even today the majority of big-city populations hate the United States and those who are patriotic to the Nation...
Makes one wonder just where traitorous scum like Cummings and the rest of the demoncrat/communists will flee to this time...
Better yet, under the Constitution, adjourn Congress for the year.
They will have to try to do it in the next year’s appropriations bill because the current year’s appropriations are untouchable by them. Would be interesting to see next year’s appropriations bill with prohibitions naming specific individuals ....
You are correct, it is blustering. The power of Congress is legislative, not administrative. In addition, the threat of arresting and holding members of the administration is also bluster.
Article I, Section 9 clearly specifies:
The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases or Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it.

I wish some of the Christian powers-that-be would smuggle in to the House someone who could perform an exorcism there. I figure that about half of the seats are occupied by unseen entities waiting for their respective humans to show up for the next session. Their actions and speech HAVE to be demonic. There’s no other explanation.
