One word - Brennan.
He “sold” the Steele Dossier to members of Cpngress and likely was part of marketing it to the media. Of course leaks about “intelligence” in any area of “Trump = collusion” would also come from him. He was just doing his job as part the of Obama “shadow” government. /sarc

Like to point out it’s borderline criminal for top FBI officials to use unsecure cell phones to text about CIA and other sensitive matters.

[Somebody literally made this up, or they got scammed by some agents in Russia who are running a scam on Brennan and they knew what Brennan wanted to hear, so they told him.]
Rush keeps skirting the inevitable conclusion - which is that Putin had his people drum up this operation to stick it to Trump. It wasn’t the eunuchs around Putin - it was Putin himself. You don’t run operations directed against the leader of your biggest adversary (Trump) without permission from the head honcho (Putin).

I don’t buy the Russian angle, sorry.
This was purely a deep state coup. Our dirty tricksters are just as crooked as everyone else’s.

What am I missing? Rush keeps referencing April 13, 2017, Brennan had been gone for three months. No doubt he is/was dirty, but he wasn’t in charge when the FBI lovebirds were referencing leaks coming from the CIA. Did Pompeo not have a grip on things yet?

When, exactly, did grown men with Strokes job description begin having such conversations anywhere other than face to face? Blithering away on email in this way strikes me as extremely inadvisable.

He also references December, 2016, as a date Smirk texted about. Brennan was still employed then.

You don’t run operations directed against the leader of your biggest adversary (Trump) without permission from the head honcho (Putin). That makes no sense. There were plenty of U.S. politicians and bureaucrats that had their hands in this. There is no direct connection to Russia or Putin.

So, most of the agencies directed to protect the country are instead protecting themselves. How does this get corrected without imploding the country?

The Democrats seized on a plausible-sounding loose thread, and kept picking at it, just as they seized on Christine Ford’s web of lies to stick it to Kavanaugh. But just as Christine Ford is a key figure in Kavanaugh’s ordeal, Putin is a key figure in Trump’s.

I am convinced that the CIA knew Papadopoulos was trying to interface with the Russians before Downer reported it. But how did they know? According to Mueller, Papadopoulos sent emails talking about his efforts with the Russians. I suspect that the CIA or FBI or NSA intercepted these emails. My other theory is that a spy inside the campaign disclosed it to the FBI.
