I believe mental illness in human beings is far more medically prevalent than we are generally led to believe. In the past, such people were kept in check by the vicissitudes of life, including banishment from the clan/tribe, physical confrontations resulting in death, failure to reproduce/raise viable offspring to sexual maturity, and much later prisons and asylums. Our cushy society has allowed the functionally insane to meld in and impress their flawed world views on the rest of rational society. That said, Warren is insane.
