Maybe there’s a clumping effect, too. A dyke or two get jobs in the same department, and before you know it, it’s a dyke department. NTTAWWT
I’ve been guilty of that. We had a heavily dyke finishing department and a light in the loafers kid applied for a job with references that were dykes working there. It was an entry level job, I hired him, and it was a win win win. My dykes were happy, he got a job, and he made a good worker.
I’m sure that has something to do with it. But I think also that lesbians are more attracted to policework than straight women are generally. Something to do with their comfort with more masculine personality traits.
