There are roughly 80,000 pages of tax code on the books....most all written by Senators and House members over the past hundred years. When you accumulate the wealth that Trump has....you hire competent and clever tax accountants. They go line by line, and help ensure your wealth stays in your pocket and not in the government’s pocket.
What these requests are aiming at...are the loans that Trump took in, and the ‘deals’ that he may have made with the banks (getting the lowest possible rates). Then you’d go and drag the banks into the big room and demand to know why the average American can’t get those discount rates. All of this would be done to paint Trump and the banks as the evil capitalists, and color-up the theme of the 2020 election to be about the evils of capitalism.
