I’m starting to think ol’ Billy-Jeff didn’t even know what his wife was up to.
She (and I use that term loosely) was the ambitious one. They had a “special” arrangement. He got all of the nookie he wanted if he just stayed out of her way and out of trouble. He couldn’t even really manage that.
He probably had to share his nookie with Hitlery.
