That is why Friedman recently sent up the trial balloon on recognizing a border crisis. They are signalling the new Party line, but they are going to have a hard time getting their extremists in line.
So, it will be considered a crisis, but not for the reasons stated by Trump. The crisis is that Trump did not adequately staff the border personnel to be able to take in the amount of people it knew were going to be coming. Instead, he insisted on building a wall to keep them out. To the RATs, they will paint this as a humanitarian crisis that Trump failed to manage. We need to throw tens/hundreds of billions to help re-settle these poor abused families into the USA. yada, yada, yada.
