The obstruction dog just ain’t hunting. The solution for this is a political one in the form of impeachment. The tolerance for that amongst the people is not there.
Every rational person (I said rational) knows that this stinks to the high heaven. If you can drum up an outrageous charge against Trump and then call his protestations of innocence and his raising a defense as “obstruction” then who amongst us is safe? Whether one likes Trump of not, this scares most people.
This is the weaponizing of the justice system to persecute and jail opponents. This is 1984 stuff.
