Perhaps he felt tht the success of Trump's economy and the failure of Venezuela erased his life's work.
Whatever is the case, suicide is not a solution, and it hurts the survivors forever, especially any surviving children. A wife can find another husband. But if you grew up with your biological father and he kills himself, it is a profound rejection and moral betrayal.
