Trump now says Mueller should not testify before Congress

President Donald Trump said Sunday that special counsel Robert Mueller should not testify before Congress, abandoning his previous declaration that he would leave that decision to his attorney general.

Escalating tensions with House Democrats as they seek to bring Mueller before the House Judiciary Committee, Trump tweeted: "Bob Mueller should not testify. No redos for the Dems!" Democrats are seeking more information about Mueller's report on his Russia investigation. Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., has said he doesn't plan to invite Mueller to testify on the report.

Trump told reporters in the Oval Office last week that testimony from Mueller was "up to our attorney general." William Barr has said he has no objection to Mueller testifying. Trump again asserted on Twitter Sunday that Mueller's report revealed "NO COLLUSION" and argued that there was "NO OBSTRUCTION."

One thing's for certain:

The last thing that the Rats would be looking to establish questioning Mueller is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth!

Herr Mueller needs to refund to the US Treasury all of the money he has obtained by Fraud over the last two years.

I think this is merely Trump protecting his rights to say no for people who testified to Mueller.

It’s like what’s the use ya know. The show ended, but again it did not end the way the Democrats wanted it to end, and they still have lots of popcorn so they are trying to make it un-end.

Trump should say 'NO' to the brats every chance he gets.

Make them beg and plead their case to a judge.

Well, Mueller (along with his leftist staffers/minions) was technically an Executive Branch employee working ultimately for Trump. Theoretically, could Barr simply command him not to testify? Of course Mueller testifying will give us a chance to see Mueller make a fool of himself as he tries to avoid answering legitimate questions from Republicans.

The Duly elected President and head of the Justice department has just order his employee, Robert Mueller to sit the hell down and shut up ( he has done enough to destroy the prosecutors role). The President is now absolved of any culpability of anything. He is our President and needs to BUILD THE WALL. Nadler can go straight to a fiery HELL. Go TRUMP 2020 and BEYOND!!

This is one sure way to get Mueller to testify. Is Trump that cagey?

"Of course Mueller testifying will give us a chance to see Mueller make a fool of himself as he tries to avoid answering legitimate questions from Republicans."

I think the POTUS is playing this smart.

By changing direction, and now "opposing" Mueller testifying, it forces the dems to something stupid.

Like HAVING MUELLER TESTIFY under oath.

As one FReeper put it, the dems will really regret it.

Mueller will open a lot of cans of worms that dems don't want to.

“Drown me! Roast me! Hang me! Do whatever you please,” said Brer Rabbit. “Only please, Brer Fox, please don’t throw me into the briar patch.”

Trump wants Mueller to testify because he will be ripped to shreds by some GOP members of the committee.

Watch the Dem remarks about this. Oh I see now President doesn’t want Mueller to testify. Obstruction!

I am not sure what the best play is here. On one hand Mueller would have to tell the truth on the other hand, just opens up more and more hearings, questions, etc.

Friday news; Mueller wants to testify to set the record straight about Barr “lying”. He’s not happy with what Pelosi said about Barr’s “crimes”.

This might be Trump goading the democrats to get him to testify.

This is a classic rope-a-dope Trump is pulling. Say that he shouldn’t testify, then when he does, ask him questions that undercut his investigation and expose his and his crews corruption. Once humiliated and Dems further destroyed, Trump can say “hey I warned you!”

Shouldn’t the Rats be asking Muelhead why he didn’t put the conclusion in there that the Commierats say is there?

Why ask other people to go over Mulehead’s head and rewrite his report to pronounce team Trump guilty?

Swear Mulehead him. Then convict his ham sandwich and send Mueller to prison for lying to Congress.
