Link Campus University was set up as the Italian branch of the
University of Malta, originally a Jesuit institution (footnote: the CIA actively cultivated ties to the Knights of Malta via notably James Jesus Angleton and Bill Casey, and this played into the
ACUE movement that led to the formation of the European Union--again relevant in connection with Brexit mentioned in my previous post). The president of Link, mentioned in the article as trying to cover up the university's affiliations with Misfud, is Italian politician
Vincenzo Scotti, affiliated with Christian Democracy, a party the CIA
funded against the Communists in 1948, with Angleton as a key player in that operation. Scotti reportedly helped arrange a ransom for a CD politician who had been kidnapped by the Red Brigades in 1981. His associate in that incident,
Antonio Gava, was allegedly linked to the Camorra, a Naples-based organized crime group parallel to the Mafia.
