House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes is scrutinizing the findings in Special Counsel Robert Muellers report about Joseph Mifsud -- the mysterious professor from Malta who helped ignite the Russia probe in 2016 and wants to know exactly who he was working for when he spoke with former Trump adviser George Papadopoulos.
It has long been suggested that Mifsud was connected to Russian intelligence. But Nunes, in a Friday letter obtained by Fox News, questions that assumption, saying Muellers report omits any mention of a wide range of contacts Mifsud had with Western political institutions and individuals.
Mifsud is a crucial figure in the report: Muellers report states that Mifsud was the one who told Papadopoulos in April 2016 that the Russians had dirt in the form of emails that could damage Hillary Clintons 2016 presidential campaign.
As the story goes, Papadopoulos then told Australian diplomat Alexander Downer about his conversations with Mifsud. Downer then informed U.S. officials, leading the FBI to open its investigation into whether Trump associates were coordinating with Russia during the 2016 election.

Please excuse any double posts - it has something do do with the latency my pc is experiencing with the FR servers. As soon as I think I have conquered it, it happens again.
When this is all over, Solomon and Carter and Herridge should have Pulitzers (or other real journalism awards if the Pulitzers remain trapped in liberal confirmation bias)
All of this is an exercise in futility until Trump declassifies the pertinent documents.
Not if you read George Papadop’s testimony. Then it’s crystal clear.
Reading pages 30 to 45 is eye-opening.
I hear you. The only thing is is that the left wing media won’t cover it and it will be warped and spun so the regular dumbass can’t figure it out. They won’t be able to spin the facts from declassification. They’ll try but the fact that Trump will do it will give it more validity. But we’ll see...
3 May: National Review: FBI Officials Testimony Raises New Questions about Surveillance of Trump Campaign
By Eric Felten
Deputy assistant director Jonathan Moffas testimony, which has been obtained exclusively by National Review, suggests there was more going on than has yet been admitted.
The deputy assistant director at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Jonathan Moffa, was involved with the RussiaTrump investigation from the start. He was asked, in a closed-door Capitol Hill interview on August 24, 2018, to describe his role: I was the section chief over counterintelligence analysis during the period of the election, Moffa told lawmakers and staff. And as a result, I had analysts who reported to me who supported the full range of the FBIs counterintelligence investigations and counterespionage investigations during that period. So in a sense, if theres a Russian-election-related investigation underway in the division at that point, personnel reporting to me are a part of it.
Moffas congressional interview was private, and no transcript has been released. But National Review has obtained a copy. The interview transcript reveals that the FBIs use of Confidential Human Sources and other counterintelligence assets was far more extensive than has previously been acknowledged...READ ALL

What is the sentence for treason again?
I wonder if Mifsud and Downer are pals with Sid Blumenthal.
Mifsud IS a “confidential source” for the CIA, FBI and the U.K.’s M16. At the time Mifsud met with Papadoupoulos he was doing so at the behest of - and possibly direction of - an active FBI agent stationed at (their FBI job was at) an international institute in the U.K. They are also likely one of the links to any M16 involvement in the Trump collusion hoax.
On that question I beat Nunes - Mueller identifies Mifsud as a known Russian asset; all indications are that Mifsud was working for MI6 and/or CIA. Mifsud was obviously coordinating with Steele and Halper in this operation against Carter {Papadopoulos} {{4/21/2019}} ...well, sort of, 😉 I imagine Nunes has known for some time.
