Only if they pass laws proclaiming these folks cannot editorialize except for promoting violence

Remember when in the early days folks like Jobs wanted a completely free non content controlled internet

When did progressives get the reins

The only role for gov’t would be to insure open access for all who wish to use the platform. That was essentially the reason for the first regulatory law, the Interstate Commerce Act of 1887.

Railroads had been creating winners and losers in other industries by granting preferential rates and kickbacks to their cronies at the expense of their competitors.

The big social media platforms are choosing winners and losers by allowing or denying access.

These platforms have achieved market power in the online public square.
