I have an uncle who was a Million Miler.....never an accident, ticket, etc.
Build the wall, indeed....but, first....change the d@mn laws that allow them to stay here, on OUR dime.
He was Legally Licensed.
If it’s true he couldn’t read English Language Road Signs, blame the State and Federal Government for him being able to get a License in the first place.

These tests are done as soon as possible, but it takes about 3 days for the results to come out. So it was recent.
Driving stoned is no better than driving drunk and I don’t know why FReepers defend these people.
Houston news reported today speed limit for trucks was 45 and he was running in excess of 70 at the time of the crash.
The tests are done immediately after the accident but the results take a few days. Alcohol can also be detected for a couple of weeks after heavy consumption. But the thing that turns up is high concentrations of marijuana.
Why FReepers dote on pot will always be a mystery to me. This is just a tax farm for certain state governments, and that’s why they promote it, because they want to use this money to continue their sanctuary city programs, etc.
The states don’t care about traffic deaths and adverse effects. This includes people simply leaving the state, since when I went to CO about 3 years ago to visit family, just after the state had legalized pot, people ranging from my manicurist to the grocery store clerk said they were leaving the state and had already bought property elsewhere because they didn’t want their kids to join the losers sitting outside the middle school getting stoned and getting ready to go in and put their heads down on the desk for the rest of the day. In the American mind, if the government says it’s legal, this means it’s good and not only good but required. Pot ain’t nonna theses.

Thanks for the update on the Humboldt crash with all of those young hockey players (and coaches, trainers, etc.). Hard to believe the driver of the truck is only getting 8 years. 16 people, all those families, and entire communities affected.

Nobody here "dotes on" pot. A few note that they've derived medical benefits from it; others say they enjoy recreational use (without urging its use on others); most just say adult use is none of government's business (except to prevent DUI and public intoxication, as they do with the legal drug alcohol).
