“Gutiérrez was apprehended by border patrol agents near El Paso on April 19 and transported the next evening to Casa Padre, a shelter for unaccompanied migrant children in Brownsville, Texas. When he awoke on April 21, staff noticed he appeared ill, and nine days later he died in a hospital bed.”
He died because he was ill and was treated as soon as it was identified. It has absolutely nothing to do with being in custody for an illegal entry to the country and the US border personnel had no action that caused it. Factually, he probably got better care from our hospitals than he would have got in Mexico or his home country. Sad he died, but the US was not involved other than to try to save him which is probably more than he would have gotten if he had continued into the country. I hate liars like CBS
