Say what you want about Alex Jones, I never got the sense he was anti-semitic. I’m not an authority on that, though I rather doubt Facebook is either.
Calypso Louie, yeah, I feel pretty safe on that. Interestingly I believe I’ve heard him on FM radio spewing his diatribes. Is the FCC aware of that I wonder?
I think Hamas is still there as well. Mussulmen are peaceful and since many are Semites there is no way they could be anti-Semites, just Jew and Israel haters which, like haring Christians, is just peachy fine.
Blacks and Muslims aren’t real anti-Semites. The former just dislike the grubby, greedy store owners in their neighborhood, and the latter just are concerned about the oppression of the poor Palestinians./SARC!
Don’t know Alex Jones. Don’t care if he or anyone else is anti-Semitic on Facebook. I hate Facebook, but if these people want their privacy violated, I’m ok with it. Anyone banned from Facebook should be able to start their own social media forum, and Facebook and Google ought to be broken up as monopolies. But so long as that hasn’t happened, it’s a public utility imho, sort of like the sewers. With access to be provided to all.
Banning Jones for telling the truth ? I ‘ve never known him to be anti Semite.
Democrats are still on FB. I call bull.
FB as we know it should be banned.
So is the NY Times.
Legal or illegal. Any other criteria is fraught with danger.
Any other criteria will be abused to crush dissent.
I am of Jewish background and I do not want anti-Semites silenced. They deserve to be heard. At the end of the day censorship (by government or de facto private monopolies) is far more dangerous than anti-Semitism.
(I suspect that most of the loudest and most outrageous anti-Semites are intelligence agency fakes who are just using it to inflame passions and cause censorship.)
Doesn’t matter. Truth is hate speech, because a moderator says it is. Truth, lies, whatever. They’re quasi-governmental, with too much power over public discourse. Let people lie. Let them hate. But let them speak in the open where they are known. If FB can’t do that, we must find someone who can, and the haters will still speak and propogate, but we won’t know where and to whom.
Damn straight.
Bless A7, but...
When Facebook “hateful people,”
I know I, a Jew and a Republican, am next.
The issue isn’t whether this or that person is an anti-semite, racist, etc. It’s whether tech lords like Facebook should be making these decisions for us.
Need to ban Omar and the New York Times...
Yeah, well, here in Tulsa, blax don't have stores in da hood. Grocery stores, dollar stores, etc, open up in da hood and they promptly close from "shrinkage."
Those people steal and rob and, in general, just create chaos.
The only stores that make in da hood are liquor stores.
Here’s the irony ... semites are the descendants of Shem.
Abraham was a descendant of Shem therefore Abraham’s offspring are the descendants of Shem. Haggar, Abraham’s concubine, was the mother of Ishmael - he was a descendant of Shem.
Therefore Arabs who comprise a great majority of the Muslim world are descendants of Shem. And the 12 tribes of Israel which one of is Judah, which is where the Jews come from are descendants of Shem.
I don’t understand why there’s all this fuss going on in the Middle East between the descendants of Shem and how one group being the descendant of Shem or another group being a descendants of Shem call themselves anti-semites?
If they are anti-semite they are against themselves which is retarded.
