not intentionally anti-Semitic?
I'm neither Jewish nor Muslim, but I know "Anti-Semitic" when I see it!

You know, you can pretty much guarantee that if this fine fellow didn’t know that the so-called “progressives”, the so-called “intelligentsia”, most of the mainstream media and a very large chunk of the left wing didn’t have his back on this, he wouldn’t DARE to double-down like that.
As it is, he knows he’s pretty safe expressing viewpoints like that, seeing as Anti-Semitism has moved beyond merely trendy and into the realm of progressive sacred cow.

Jewish propaganda machine is exactly the kind of term I would expect a Joooooo-hater to use.
Isn’t that right, António Moreira Antunes?
Yeah, he knows what he did.
Has he quoted The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion yet?
I say you’ll find a copy, somewhere, in his stack of books.

He’s basically saying the Nazis were right: those Jews are out to get us. We better do something about ‘em.

not intentionally anti-Semitic? Of course not.

He works for or sells through an agency. He had no way of knowing the NYT would pick his cartoon up, any more than the NYT figured running the cartoon outside the US would create controversy here. I’ve no idea how many, but other European media must have used the cartoon, else he’d be out of a job. And no one complained there. Only the Zionist dominated Americans. Almost worth another cartoon. Ironically it’s estimated that 20% of the Portugese population have Jewish ancestors, and like Spain the nation is trying to attract Jews to return. Guess he didn’t get the message.

I'd have suggested that Just like the Gays and Transgendered He was born raised this way. But that would be homophobic, so OK, they were born that way. No real matter, he's an anti-Semite.

He is. Like Rashida Tlid and Ilhan Omar. And other members of the House, who are not cartoonists. Though I can think of a few who qualify as cartoon characters.

Here’s an idea, António. How about you publish a cartoon of a blind Ayatollah being led by a dog with Muhammed’s face with a cute star and crescent on the dog’s collar. See how that works out for you.

Better argument, he's a cartoonist ignorant of the history of his art. Were he American he could point to several House members as similar examples. Note this cartoon of his from 1982, a knockoff of the famous photo from the Warsaw Ghetto, but with the IDF as the SS persecuting Arabs.

Tells me he's not ignorant of visual history, knew exactly what his cartoon was saying, and he doesn't much like Jews and Israel. 1982, long time Jew hater.
