I am absolutely convinced that the Founding Father’s messed up when they did not include Term Limits out of the gate.

Without Term Limits we are left with a Ruling Class which equals Tyranny. All about their Political Power and not about Representing the People and their needs.

Good luck for these people to ever vote themselves a Term Limit. Won’t happen

This is exactly why so many are fight for a convention of the states, this is what it would take to make a change to the constitution for term limits!! Many people believe that this could also end up being a disaster if the Dems ended up taking the damn thing over and including changes to the constitution that NONE of us would ever want to see happen!!! This is the ONLY way we would ever be able to see term limits which we DEFINITELY NEED!! The founders NEVER thought of term limits because life expectancy in those days was VERY YOUNG!! Today people live into their 80’s and 90’s and these BASTARDS are carried out of their seats on stretchers dead!! Our founders could not have foreseen medical miracles we have today!!!

The Founders were creating a Republic where citizens would serve in the federal government for a short time and then go home. It was the first ever attempt at self-governance in the modern world. George Washington was the model when he refused to become King and went home after the war to retire to Mt. Vernon. Unfortunately, they didn’t anticipate career politicians and the rise of political parties. But, given their experience and the times, it would have been a very hard thing to predict and plan for. Maybe they were overly naive thinking that citizen legislators wouldn’t become power-crazed and were immune from the lust for more and more power.

In the founders’ day, people who would govern had honor and self-limited their terms.

They did not imagine the depths of depravity this great nation has endured.
