Allan Josephson, M.D., is one of the nations top child and adolescent psychiatrists. So why was he just fired by the University of Louisville?
It started when Dr. Josephson spoke at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C., where he expressed his concern as a medical professional over what is becoming common treatment for children with gender dysphoria -- puberty blockers, hormones, multiple surgeries. He disputed the notion that gender identity should trump chromosomes, hormones, internal reproductive organs, external genitalia, and secondary sex characteristics," calling it counter to medical science."
...
All that matters is that he committed a sin against the dictates of political correctness. The university first demoted Dr. Josephson and then, a few months later, terminated him.

I was about 5 years old when I thought it would be way cool to be a grizzly bear. You could growl at everyone, eat whatever you wanted and sleep in when it was cold. My parents did not take me to bear transformation therapy and I got over it.

Making some Americans more equal than Others happens when you work ass off harder than the next guy and use your brain.
In fact, consider that just as Speaker Pelosi wrongly passed unconstitutional Obamacare legislation without the express constitutional consent of the states, it's no surprise that her Equality Act legislation is outside the scope of the 19th Amendment, the only sex-related power that the feds have, such power limited to voting issues.
"The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation [emphasis added]."
From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]. United States v. Butler, 1936.
The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was scandalously passed by Democrats to exploit low-information voters imo, voters who have probably never been taught that the states have never given the feds the express constitutional power to protect race and sex issues outside the scope of voting rights.
Pelosi is evidently carrying on this Democratic (and RINO) tradition of scandals with her so-called Equality Act.
Remember in November 2020!
MAGA!
Corrections, insights welcome.
I am sure that you (and others) realize that “self-identification as a (fill-in the blank)” is the next stop on the slippery slope trolley ride to Hell. So future VigilanteMans will receive the needed “professional” counseling and treatment to attain their full potential as grizzly bears. And they will until, of course, they make the mistake of trying to interact with real grizzly bears.
There is an old Chinese proverb about a man who was fascinated with dragons. He read dragon books, listened to dragon music, wore dragon clothes, and even ate expensive dragon food. The Dragon God was so pleased when he heard about this man that he sent a real dragon to visit him. It is said the man died of fright.
I have written posts to other threads where I said, in so many words, that the comparisons being made between the present situation and the last days of the failing Roman republic are not good matches. And they still are not when speaking of politics.
However, if you discuss moral corruption and general carnality, then the match is much better. Yes, the discussion is no longer about equality, it is about license. It is also about “leaders,” and craven ones at that, who would rather inflict this abuse on the people than take a principaled stand against it. This will continue and will increase until, unfortunately, blood does flow. And not just a little bit.
This republic will fall when the citizens needed to defend it no longer believe it is worth defending and the mercenaries hired to replace them no longer have the edge (in manpower and/or technology) to stem the destructive forces breaking on its borders. If you think we are there now, I will simply remind you that the Apostle Paul wrote of the moral corruption flourishing in 1st century Imperial Rome. Yet the empire persisted; actually increasing in size into the 2nd century, then becoming truncated and fragmented for another 2 centuries. We are just at the beginning.
Not unlike what Rudyard Kipling warned us about exactly one hundred years ago.
Sorry, Doc, but you’re not allowed to question the social sickness of the Left.
That’s a novel approach to the argument against the CRA and it’s ugly permutations, one I’ve never heard before. Thanks for the input.
You can pretty much answer any political or social question by referring back to Kipling’s poems.
I know a Book that is infinitely better suited.
I call it an unindoctrinated approach. What other patriots and I do differently is to read the Constitution and supporting historical material.
Did ya know that the thirteen colonies ratified" the Constitution when FDRs state sovereignty-ignoring Supreme Court activist justices wrongly decided Wickard v. Filburn in Congresss favor in 1942? /sarc
Seriously, politically correct interpretations of the 14th Amendment (14A) aside, please consider the following.
The congressional record shows that Rep. John Bingham, the main author of Section 1 of that amendment, had clarified that 14A applies only rights that the states have expressly amended to the Constitution to the states.
Mr. Speaker, this House may safely follow the example of the makers of the Constitution and the builders of the Republic, by passing laws for enforcing all the privileges and immunities of the United States as guaranteed by the amended Constitution and expressly enumerated in the Constitution [emphasis added]. Rep. John Bingham, Congressional Globe, House of Representatives, 42nd Congress, 1st Session. (See lower half of third column.)
In other words, constitutionally limited power career federal Democrats and RINOs dont have the express constitutional authority to promise every civil right under the sun to citizens and undocumented Democrats to win their votes.
In fact, it can be argued that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is based mostly on stolen state powers, like nearly everything else that the feds do these days.
