In a Switch, Some Republicans Start Citing Climate Change as Driving Their Policies
NY Times ^ | April 30, 2019 | Lisa Friedman

When John Barrasso, a Republican from oil and uranium-rich Wyoming who has spent years blocking climate change legislation, introduced a bill this year to promote nuclear energy, he added a twist: a desire to tackle global warming.

Mr. Barrasso’s remarks — “If we are serious about climate change, we must be serious about expanding our use of nuclear energy” — were hardly a clarion call to action. Still they were highly unusual for the lawmaker who, despite decades of support for nuclear power and other policies that would reduce planet-warming emissions, has until recently avoided talking about them in the context of climate change.

The comments represent an important shift among Republicans in Congress. Driven by polls showing that voters in both parties — particularly younger Americans — are increasingly concerned about a warming planet, and prodded by the new Democratic majority in the House shining a spotlight on the issue, a growing number of Republicans are now openly discussing climate change and proposing what they call conservative solutions.

“Denying the basic existence of climate change is no longer a credible position,” said Whit Ayers, a Republican political consultant, pointing out the growing climate concern among millennials as well as centrist voters — two groups the G.O.P. will need in the future.

3 MINUTE VIDEO (but the payoff’s in the first 30 seconds)
If the “stuff” on this outrageous Algore sponsored FRAUD I’ve sent in the past hasn’t convinced you that it’s nothing more than another SCAM by the globalist control freaks to stampede us into their One-World corral and out of trillions of our wealth and, more importantly, our FREEDOMS, this will help.   You can frequently get some or all of that wealth back.  Once lost, freedoms generally have to be FOUGHT FOR.
The data for Australia is pretty much the same for all of us, unless, of course, like every leftist, you live on another planet.
Please send it to everyone and post it on every social media venue you frequent as often as the global warming Gestapo will let you.

Thank you for referencing that article EdnaMode. Please note that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

Patriots are reminded that the states have never expressly constitutionally delegated to unconstitutionally big federal government the specific power to regulate, tax and spend in the name of politically correct global warming.

”From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added].” —United States v. Butler, 1936.

So misguided senators must do the following.

Constitutionally low-information, post-17th Amendment ratification federal senators need to get elected to their state legislatures and use state powers to waste state taxpayer dollars, not unconstitutional federal funding, on politically correct global warming, depending on the threshold of tax pain of their respective state citizens.

"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States."—Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

Note this insight into 10th Amendment-protected state powers by Justice Brandeis.

"It is one of the happy incidents of the federal system that a single courageous State may, if its citizens choose [emphasis added], serve as a laboratory; and try novel social and economic experiments without risk to the rest of the country.” — Justice Brandeis, Laboratories of democracy.
Note that the constitutional limit on states as laboratories of democracy is that states cannot establish privileged / protected classes or abridge constitutionally enumerated rights, and must maintain a constitutionally guaranteed republican form of government.

Remember in November 2020!

MAGA!

Yep. That the left isn’t pushing nuclear power demonstrates pretty strongly that they aren’t serious about reducing ‘greenhouse gases’, and are only really serious about reducing prosperity.
