Hmmm Hoping Rush is right like he always is, but I have not seen much evidence of anybody waking up yet... Democrat or Republican... Seems like they should be waking up, from what is trickling out, but faith in our government is at an all time low!

The left is driven by hate. They aren’t going to ‘wake up’, because that would require them to be tolerant and accepting, and to admit being wrong. They can’t and they won’t. Maybe a few of them, but when you have a group of people united by resentment and hatred, and as a party you use those emotions to form coalitions, it’s very difficult to lay down the swords you thought were going to destroy those you hate.

They thought they were gonna get rid of Trump before the 2020 election, so they really haven’t been dealing with the actual task of defeating Trump in an election. And I’m not exaggerating here. There is no party platform per se. You’ve got these 18 people running for president who are trying to out leftist each other, see who can be the biggest and best socialist and so forth. But there isn’t a premise for why the country needs the Democrat Party.

There was expectation that the Bolshevik owned & operated deepstate was gonna get the Trump trouble handled, so all they had to do was sit back and chant Orange Man Bad while waiting for the hammer to fall. Arrogance evidently prevented any Plan B to be available waiting in the wings. Look at the state of the democrat party as it is right now - absolute Chinese fire drill. No unified message, strategy or direction, and the "diverse" voting blocs they were so proud of are breaking into factions, some downright adversarial.

The funniest thing about all this is the bewilderment of the Democrats and the RINOs.

They thought they were intellectually brilliant, though the truly intelligent always knew that they were, at best, intellectually mediocre.

The truly intelligent also always know that Trump's intelligence towered over that of the Democrats and RINOs.

It was terrible schadenfreude to watch gleefully as Trump's intelligence danced circles around theirs, watching them gasp in disbelief, trying time after time to match wits with him, enjoying their baffled expressions as time after time Trump pulled the rug out from under them intellectually.

The benevolent would not find it possible to enjoy such schadenfreude were Trump's opponents not as mediocre morally as they are intellectually, but Truth has a way of revealing such people in a comical light that tends to give even the most charitable a chuckle.
