Rep. Jerrold Nadler on Sunday threatened to issue a subpoena to compel Attorney General William Barr to appear before his House panel after Barr reportedly balked over how he would be questioned.
“Then we will have to subpoena him and we will have to use whatever means we can to enforce the subpoena. We’ll use all legal mechanisms to get them to comply with the subpoenas and they will comply,” the New York Democrat told reporters during an appearance on Staten Island. “Ultimately, the law says they have to comply. What the administration is doing is seeking to draw it out.”
Nadler, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, wants to allow all panel members to grill Barr for five minutes each at Thursday’s hearing.
He also wants another round of questioning from each side that would last for 30 minutes and would allow the counsels for Democrats and Republicans on the committee to also ask questions.
“It’s in my judgment an effective way of doing things, and the witness is not going to tell the committee how to conduct its hearing,” Nadler said on Sunday.
To discuss sections of the report that Barr redacted, Nadler proposed that the committee go into closed session.

Barr should agree to show up as soon as Holder complies with his subpoena and contempt charge.
“It’s in my judgment an effective way of doing things, and the witness is not going to tell the committee how to conduct its hearing,” Nadler said on Sunday.
Who does Barr think he is? The two-door Ford?
Contempt of Congress by the AG is NOT a big deal. Just look at Holder. He got away with it.
This is nothing more than Nadler continuing the Coup that the Deep State Started.
Investigate the investigators. If they want to do a fishing the expedition on the President, the Executive Branch should do in a fishing expedition on every single one of them.
Yep just cite Holder as precedence saying their is separation of powers.

Barr should now classify the report and cite Holder as precedent.
Barr is doing the right thing. He does not have to lket the Dems railroad him.

Nadler wants Counsel to ask questions for 30 minutes...PASS
The DOJ makes the final decision on prosecuting contempt of Congress, which is a misdemeanor.
Nadler needs to testify before the DOJ.
I question the constitutional authority of Congress subpoenaing anybody they feel like.
... or simply reply, “I am not certain on that matter and will have to consult [the documents, Justice Department attorneys, whathaveyou].”
“You would not want me to speculate, or disclose unauthorized information, would you?”
And then what?
Nadler needs to do many things. I'll name two:
1. Stop eating.
2. Stop pulling his pants up to his man boobs.
