Purely anecdotal story, but my doctor prescribed Trazodone for me some years ago during an extended period of depression and insomnia when other medications didn’t work. The first night I thought I was going mad. Lying wide awake in bed with my heart racing and anxiety building by the minute, and disturbing thoughts. I threw out the bottle the next morning and went back to over-the-counter sleeping pills. They finally worked.

About 20 years ago my former doctor prescribed Trazadone for insomnia. I took it one or 2 nights. Horrible stuff. I told the doctor how sick it made me. Of course the doctor said to keep using it, the bad effects would go away. I never listen to them when they say that. Let the doctors take the poison they push.
