Former Rep. Beto O'Rourke called for the establishment of farm-to-table restaurants in every community to combat poor nutrition.
Farm-to-table restaurants are part of a socially-conscious movement favored by wealthy urbanites that often feature small, elaborately designed fare from local farms and are typically very expensive.
The Democratic presidential candidate made the gaffe at a Friday event hosted at a brewery by the Nevada State Democratic Party in Henderson, a Las Vegas suburb.

They really do think they are smarter than everyone and demand the use of government to force us, with the threat to use the government’s monopoly power of force, to do what they say.
I respond simply by saying “Nuts!”

OK, so you set up an “ethical farm-to-table” restaurant in each community: how do you get people to frequent the place? are you going to allow competition? what happens when the place loses money? or the “ethical” restaurant begins to cheat on the menu in order to save money or make money? will “moonshiners” be tolerated (i.e., illegal “ethical” restaurants)? etc., etc.,
You’d think folks would be nervous as hell about someone wanting to control what we eat, how we eat, when we eat.
If they control my choice of crackers and cheese for a snack, what don’t they control?
Spend a week in a car with Will Hurd away from anyone that can see them and Presto!
