No, you are quite wrong. Deuteronomy 22 states that if a man and a woman (who is betrothed to someone else) have sex, they are both killed, but if she was raped, she is spared. But his death is not for rape, it's for defiling another man's property. Whether she's willing or not has no bearing on his sentence, only on hers. Moreover, Deut 22:28 says If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; 29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife;
Doesn't say anything about if she's willing or not (and "lay hold of" doesn't sound very promising.)
As for concubinage not being endorsed, In 2 Samuel 12, 7 And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul; 8 And I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom,
So, yes, it comes straight from God. Women are prizes, and can be handed about like a plate of candy. Later in the same chapter he says that he's going to let other men lay with David's wives that day as punishment. Unless God is planning to make David's wives suddenly very horny, it sounds like rape to me.
25 But if in the open country a man meets a young woman who is betrothed, and the man seizes her and lies with her, then only the man who lay with her shall die. 26 But you shall do nothing to the young woman; she has committed no offense punishable by death.
The male rapist is to be put to death. It is a death penalty crime.
As for Deut 22:28 that is not rape. The man is held responsible as the aggressor/seducer; this is in juxtaposition as against a forcible rape. Rather than the death penalty in this case marriage is the best option as the woman has been humbled. Virginity is important and this womans is gone. The bride price is to be paid - and a bride price indicates the woman has value and her family is suffering a loss.
What an interpretation you have - women are prizes and passed around like candy? Hardly. Gods law protects and defends women. Under a patriarchal system the male head of house makes decisions for the family bit his children (male or female) are Under his control. Boys AND girls I might add. But not sex slaves for heavens sakes.
