You are apparently on this thread to hijack it to your personal need for attention and to spread hopelessness and negativity. Really, seek help.
You evidently didn’t read my last post — or at least failed to comprehend plain English.
YOU were the one who posted a misandrist comment that prompted my response.
As I stated, I was not going to post anything to the main point of this thread because I didn’t think anything could be added. The long article on human trafficking speaks for itself.
And no, it’s not about me. Note my FR name. I often go weeks at a time without posting to any thread.
With that said, I contest your FR name. You don’t strike me as any kind of a lady, much less perfect. If I harbor resentment toward women, I offer women with your attitude as my defense.
I am now “buzzing off.”
You wise up!
You are not to covet these things. Whether a person, an animal, an inanimate object... if it is not yours, not supposed to be yours, dont covet it.
You are your husbands wife. He is your husband. He belongs to you in that sense. You belong to him. That doesnt mean you can sell him.
You read a lot of things into scripture that arent there.
You’re more upset that I blame men (given that they are the vast majority of the customers AND the pimps) than you are about the crime itself. That tells me a lot about you.
I didn’t post my initial remark to YOU, though, did I? No, you saw it and suddenly decided that nothing was more important than making sure I understood that your resentment of women was justified. And you’re STILL HERE DOING IT.
Men like sex.
Women LOVE power.
And the rest of your comments are nonsense.
No, you posted your remark to an open forum. I don’t know of any FR post so privileged that it may not receive comments, positive or negative.
It was fair game, and I responded. Anyone else could have. And I am noticing that some of your other posts have drawn a bit of flack on this thread.
You really have a hard time with rational thought, don’t you?
Eh, they say “never argue with a woman.” Much less “a perfect lady.”
Notice there’s nothing to women about coveting another woman’s husband. Nothing addressed to women at all about their rights, or property. Even causing a woman to have a miscarriage... do you pay her? No, you pay her husband. You damaged his property, see. Woman is subject to man: “He shall rule over you.” It’s as plain as “right to bear arms.” Men like to have power over women, and the only question is the extent to which they exercise it.
What I notice is that most of the men on here are far more outraged that one woman dares to blame men for this horror show than they are about the horror show itself. Quite a few of you. You read the story and shake your heads. You read my comment... and go ballistic.
You are quite mistaken, and not nearly as insightful as you arrogate to yourself.
Lord, please help this lost soul.
Well, you’ve spent far more time arguing with me than raging against this story. Clearly this is the fight that means more to you. One mouthy woman keeps your attention longer than a thousand trafficked children.
Coveting goes both ways.
Women arent allowed to covet. We have to keep all the commandments as do men and children. The very idea.
Yes as heads of households the men are addressed. Unless a commandment is specific to a woman. There are a handful commandments directed just to women and just to children and those are lined out as being for them.
Projection.
Yes, and they're all about being obedient to men.
And, of course, you have to have the last word.
No. They are all about being obedient to God.
I am inclined to doubt it. My guess is that only a small percentage of men find underage girls to be sexually attractive at all (I don't), and successively smaller percentages of that small percentage would be willing to accept the risk of being convicted of statutory rape, accept the risk of contracting STDs from a prostitute, accept the physical risks of exposure to the criminal culture of underage prostitution, AND be willing and able to pay for all that. In other words, I bet the nightmare described in this article is a very long way from being commonplace in America.
I think you should check Ephesians 5: 22-24, 1 Peter 3: 1-6, and Colossians 3:18. Wives are to obey their husbands.
There is truth in what you say, but it is far from the whole truth.
It is also true that many, many males throughout history have channeled those drives into protecting women and children.
Women are the weaker sex, and need to be so protected. That is a truth that many, including conservatives and Christians, no longer accept.
