The CEO of Salvation Army, a global organization, is paid $50K a year. Nonprofits should never provide a feathered nest for their employees. It is an abuse of donors dollars.

NRA doesn’t need this crap. They need to be above this. And if an NRA-affiliated vendor paid for Wayne’s personal ANYTHING, Wayne needs to step down gracefully.

Give Dana Loesch a shot.

Although not a BIG shooting activist, and too overthehill to do much hunting, I joined as a protest against Obloviator. Their constant contacts, with their upturned palm extended, pizzed me off, and I left my membership lapse. Now with the $200K story out, I’m glad I did.

Love him or hate him, Wayne LaPierre does nothing "gracefully."

The NRA has been an insider's club since 25 years ago, perhaps longer, when the bylaws were changed so that only life members with continuous tenure of 5 years or more could vote on governance issues.

It appears these two egos cannot get along, so they are inflicting as much damage as possible on their way out. Bad for 2nd amendment supporters. Bad for the NRA, just when we need this organization to be as strong as possible. I was unimpressed with the NRA voter mobilization efforts last election. Equally unimpressed with their weak support for pro 2nd amendment candidates. They will now probably become even more ineffectual.
