“I’d urge you to contact POTUS immediately and correct him before he makes a fool out of himself!”
Maybe Mitt Romney could be the messenger. He could explain to Trump that Republicans need to adopt a more, well, cringing and apologetic attitude when dealing with the left.
A good start would be for Mitt to pass on Mitt’s undisputed mastery of these GOPe classics:
“Please don’t hit me, I’ll be better next time,” and
“You’re still going to invite me to your big party, aren’t you, even if I got a little above myself?”
“Please don’t call me a racist or homophobic. Some of my best friends are gay, trans, African-Americans.”
“I know I may call myself a Republican. But I’m hip, slick, and cool, just like you. I’m not like those awful deplorables.”
