The posters who were encouraged by this article or who actually read it laughing apparently did not read and certainly did not heed these data:

College-educated white women do seem to be leaving the Republican party long-term; a 51 percent majority voted for Hillary Clinton, and a larger 59 percent majority voted blue in the midterms.

I wasn't laughing when the results came in from the 2018 midterm elections.

The Republicans lost the midterms in the suburbs and lost it their primarily because they lost eight points from white, educated females. We white conservative males reading this feminists tripe might be truculent, we might be smug, we might be oblivious but Democrat professionals are not. They look at these numbers and they are encouraged for 2020. That is why virtually every male Democrat candidate for president is coming out of the starting gate proclaiming that he will select a female vice president.

This swing cost us the House of Representatives and it could very well cost us the White House in 2020. Hillary could not energize this female vote just as she could not energize the African-American vote. How about Kamela Harris, could she energize both? It does no good to bluster about race wars, the need is to understand why suburban white women departed the party in 2018 and get them back into the fold where they were in 2016.

I think it is a given that Trump will get out his base but the map of the electoral college is such that his narrow victories in the rust belt might be overturned if these women vote the way they voted in 2018. We cannot count on having a presidential candidate with the toxic baggage that cost Hillary Clinton the election she should have won. She was a singularly unlikable human being with a public record of corruption a mile-long. We shall not be so fortunate in 2020.

So the Democrats are trying to appeal to displaced non-college educated white male voters in the rust belt and Republicans should be appealing to white suburban college-educated women in the suburbs. That is why we see Bernie Sanders so artfully co-opting much of the Trump message and that is why we see male Democrat candidates promising female vice presidents.

In 2020 we must demonstrate to American mothers that their children are at risk at school, on the streets, in the hospitals from open borders. Their husbands are at risk on the job from open immigration. There health care is at risk from crazy schemes. The Democrats have demonstrated with Russia Gate that they cannot be trusted with power. Finally, they must be convinced that a Democrat victory will tear away all of the prosperity for them and their families created by Trump.

The question is, how does one craft a message to reach these women and how does one craft a message to reach an even more difficult demographic, single women. As Sigmund Freud said, "what does a woman want?" I certainly do not know, but I do know that threatening civil war is probably not the best method of persuasion or seduction.

Perhaps we should embrace “the suck”. Maybe if we formed a national group that reassured mothers we had their children at heart when we supported things that need to be done for their sake? Maybe we could even come up with a snappy uniform to wear to signal OUR virtue. Something designed by, oh, say, someone like Hugo Boss?

as if your opinion about racism matters, hoo boy, youre full of yourself. Forrest was half-black anyway, as evidenced in his face and hair.
