It’s been going on for years. I was molested by Scoutmaster in the 60’s as well as some of the rest of the troop.
Troop was sponsored by the Catholic parish no less.
Unlike so many Hollywood types, I don’t believe it was a huge deal that ruined the rest of my life. Just an unhappy memory that I wrote off as being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Back in the 50s when that sort of thing happened it was not unusual for the molester to have a serious "accident". Dads were DADS then, I guess.
I’m so sorry you went through this- I too was molested as a child except by a family member. I handled it the same way as you.
