Sigh. I can’t do that anymore. I have grown to detest ideological purity, and I think we have to give people room to change their minds on things.
God knows, the older I get the sillier I feel about many mind sets I once had. We all have to have the courage and the right to admit when we were wrong, and we should also have the grace to accept others with a handshake when they find they were wrong but are strong enough to recognize and admit it.
But thanks for the link...I will watch it tomorrow!
This speech got at the very nub of the Trump experience.
Given all this, it makes one think that there is more going on in this country right now than meets the eye. Something metaphysical perhaps--a divine intervention--was needed to set us back in the general direction of the "right track."
Exactly...in summary, Trump is upsetting the gravy train.
Which is something that is needed, and from reading your posts over time, I suspect you agree.
I haven’t seen this one yet, but another VDH interview this week, with Epoch Times, was epic and has gone viral with over a half million views:

The Epoch Times interview is actually a fair bit more recent.
“I think Bill Whittle has been doing a lot of the best framing of issues on the right”
I agree, and have been following him for years, and wonder why he isn’t more popular. I’ve thought he would be an interesting guest host for Rush once in a while.
But Bill Whittle most definitely approaches the issues from a well thought out conservative ideological core.
One of the things I have that I got for becoming a Bill Whittle member is a set of DVDs titled "Firewall: What We Believe" that are astonishingly good. I was so blown away, I was going to purchase about $500 worth of them to distribute to people, until I found out they were available on YouTube for free...:)
I am posting these here for anyone who has not seen them. They are not long, they don't need to be watched in order, and every single conservative who I have ever sent these links to has enthusiastically lauded them:
Part 1: Small Government and Free Enterprise
Thank you, 9YearLurker...I will check that one out!
Thanks for the links!
You bet Rummyfan!
Thanks for posting. I believe I’ve seen a couple of them.
Re your comments on Rush, in many ways Limbaugh and Whittle are alike in that their early backgrounds were more in entertainment than politcs. Now they’re political geniuses.
The comparison is interesting. Bill Whittle’s Firewall videos are spectacular, and they drill down to the conservative bedrock on which the specific issue is relevant to.
I have always thought he was far more focused in that respect than Rush Limbaugh (who I like) because Rush seems to relate to current societal trends and currents.
Interesting comparison you make, that they both started in entertainment.
Many thanks, rlmorel! I respect your opinion and will take a look when I can.
Made my conservative heart sing to hear Bill Whittle explain those aspects of conservatism!
Best explanations I have heard, very postive and uplifiting.
