Today, the Department of Homeland Security announced that in conjunction with its plans to build 80 miles of new and replacement border walls in Arizona and New Mexico, the agency will waive 32 laws to expedite wall construction. These include the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act and 29 other federal laws.

57 miles from the recent DoD money, and the rest from previously appropriated (2018) money, that is getting ready to start work. These waivers are typically issued a few weeks before work starts.

With all the new money, there should be a flood of new contract awards being announced this Summer.

Here are maps for what just got waivers, and will start work soon (dashed or dotted lines are where they will build, red is existing pedestrian barrier).

FYI: Texas was INVADED by the Mexican Army at 2:00 PM last Saturday, April 13, 2019. The Mexican Army forced the FIRST SURRENDER of American troops to a foreign power on American soil since the War of 1812. Make NO mistake - the Mexican troops KNEW EXACTLY where they were. They all have GPS. The border is not the wall, but the center of the Rio Grande river. The question is what drug mules they were “protecting” as they entered the US. Mexican Army troops have been found before as many as 9 or 10 miles into the US. This needs to STOP. American soldiers need LOADED RIFLES, and vehicle mounted machine guns, not UNLOADED HANDGUNS. And they need to be in MARKED ARMY VEHICLES, not unmarked civilian cars, or Border Patrol vehicles. I would venture to suggest we we need a few Abrams tanks down there for their psychological deterrent value.

I think that incident was about six Mexican soldiers, and two US soldiers. The whole thing did not go on long enough to cause anyone to have to change their plans for their next meal.

My guess is that the Mexicans were probably moonlighting for a drug cartel, and scouting for them to make sure the coast was clear. The American soldiers were probably either emplacing sensors, or just goofing off sightseeing.

The military has been assigned to provide support to the Border Patrol to free up more BP officers for direct law enforcement. The military itself is not guarding the border directly.

Oh, you know there are at least 30-11 judges lined up with preprinted injunctions in 4...3...2..
