President Donald Trump is going to court to try to block a Democratically-controlled congressional committee from obtaining his financial records through a subpoena. The lawsuit is the first case where Trump has sued to try to stymie House Democrats' investigations into the President. But the court filing is only the first skirmish in what's likely to be a multi-front war between House Democrats and Trump, the White House and the President's businesses.
Trump and the Trump Organization filed suit Monday to stop the House Oversight Committee -- chaired by Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Maryland -- from obtaining financial records from Mazars, an accounting firm that Trump used to prepare financial statements. The committee subpoenaed for 10 years' worth of Trump's financial records after the firm requested a so-called "friendly subpoena."

Nixon was the last one accused of weaponizing the IRS; and the DoJ to boot in those days I suppose. Probably been being done for a hundred years, right from the beginning.
The FBI have turned being mistaken into a crime.
Why is it OK for us to see the IRS records of all our recent presidents except the current one?
There are plenty of federal judges ready to grant the request. They really aren't judges, just democrat hacks occupying the positions for times like these.
This concerns me, all Dems have to do is Judge shop and get a friendly Judge who rules they have to turn over the records.
Theres no law requiring any of them to release their tax returns. Its sort of like an early form of virtue signaling that was started (Im not sure, too lazy to search) by Nixon.
We have probable cause of wrongdoing, because we kept accusing him of wrongdoing, and we wouldn’t do that unless he was guilty. Mueller failed to find him guilty of anything, so now it’s up to us. Hand me that casting reel.
