Will most likely be back up there next week. BTW we had dinner at the Carson Valley CC last time we were there. One of the other patrons overheard we were from CA and had just purchased a place there. He told us:” just dont bring your CA politics with you!” My wife replied that she was a two-term past president of her Republican Women’s Club and I told him that i was a former three-term elected member of the County Republican Central Committee, and furthermore that we liked guns and actually had one out in the car!” His reply:”God Bless you both and welcome to Douglas County!” We constantly remark to one another just how friendly and decent everyone there is. And the cost of everything is so much less. I think gasoline is a buck a gallon cheaper there than in the Bay Area.
$3.25/gal at the costco in Reno so probably about .30 cheaper in Carson and the Gardnerville area.
P.S. Claiming to be “R’s” lately may not help much. LOL! Jim Wheeler is the assemblyman from that area and is a straight shooter. Good guy. Sadly, the vegas cabal is now in charge of most major positions in the state. Sure you know that though.
