A comedian whose only political experience consists of playing a president on TV appeared poised to reprise the role in real life when an exit poll showed him winning Ukraine's presidential runoff Sunday in a landslide.
Results from the exit poll after voting stations closed showed Volodymyr Zelenskiy receiving an extraordinary 73.2 per cent — or nearly three out of every four votes cast — to President Petro Poroshenko's 25.3 per cent.

I hope this guy has some talent, but it seems unlikely.
What little money was spent on Facebook ads was nothing and accomplished nothing, with ads against both Hillary and Trump. It can’t even be traced to the Russian government over a private individual with monies wanting to cause his/her or troubles here, or simply back up one side of the election, due to principle.
Absolutely right!! Could there be a bigger sign of disrespect shown to a politician then to be upended, defeated by a Comedian...a clown? What humiliation!!

So Putin is a puppet to a hidden mafia? And needs to make’gains’. That is just silly. If Russia wanted Ukraine it would take 1 day. And NATO would do nothing. There is little support in Russia for territorial expansion - and yes I am fully aware of the recent history in Ukraine, Crimia and Georgia.

And yes, Russian Elite volunteers were stopped in Ukraine before they could reach Crimea by land.
I have more respect for Russia than the Ukraine.

The whole world is sick and tired of professional politicians. Now let’s sit back and watch how the worldwide “swamp” attacks Zelenskiy like it has Trump.
I read somewhere that Biden will be under investigation in that country when the comedian wins the presidency. Hope it’s true.
Whatever else this news from Ukraine may mean, it’s nice to know that a Jewish candidate — Mr. Zelenskiy — can win a landslide election in a European country.
