The original authorization for the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller was May 17th, 2017. However, the recently released Weissmann report shows there were two additional scope memos authorizing specific targeting of the Mueller probe. The first scope memo was August 2nd, 2017, OUTLINED HERE, and is an important part of the puzzle that helps explain the corrupt original purpose of the special counsel.
The second scope memo was issued by Rod Rosenstein to Robert Mueller on October 20th, 2017. The transparent intent of the second scope memo was to provide Weissmann and Mueller with ammunition and authority to investigate specific targets, for specific purposes. One of those targets was General Michael Flynns son, Michael Flynn Jr.

Good luck to all.
If there were any proof needed that Rosenstein is a weasel who should be prosecuted, the approval and issuance of this expansion of the probe is that.
It is either malevolent or stupid, and I don’t think Rosenstein is stupid.
Fredo,Fredo,Fredo on Easter Sunday once again your name keeps coming up. History does repeat its self. Rot in hell Fredo
When AG Barr gave his commentary I couldn’t help looking at Rosenstein right along side him, he is part of this cabal so how does that make Barr credible?
Rosenstein had the most bizarre look on his face. It was as though he was sending a message... he was there because he was told to be there is all I can figure out. He looked like an emotionless robot.
Fredo was running the clock out in hopes the president would make a mistake. He knew there was zero collusion from the get go. It has to be the only answer. AG Barr I dont envy you please do the right thing and fire this traitor and charge him.
‘It is either malevolent or stupid, and I dont think Rosenstein is stupid.’
Rosenstein is looking at jail time for his coup activities and with that hanging over his head, his only hope was to keep dragging out the Mueller investigation until 2021, when, hopefully for him, a Democrat president would again appoint a Holder/Lynch type Attorney General who simply make his illegal activities ‘go away’. [Mueller’s investigation had locked-down the evidence needed to bring Rosenstein and others to trial]
But that all ended when Barr told Mueller to wrap up the investigation. Now it’s just a short matter of time before Rosenstein resigns and has to fight to keep his freedom. This will be fun to watch, assuming that the networks consider it ‘newsworthy’.
“Rosenstein had the most bizarre look on his face.”
He looked like a nervous prisoner.
I read the website, and here are the main takeaways for Freepers:
If I understand, the F-302 notes are supposed to be submitted immediately. There are texts between Strzok and Page that indicate this clearly the day before it was filed 30 days late: Question: "Also, is Andy (McCabe) good with F302?" Response: "Launch on f302".
Then, they filed an addendum to the F-302 (official Flynn interview notes) in May 2017. Why? Why file an addendum.
They followed that up with a letter to the judge in the Flynn prosecution in December 2018 explaining why, and this was all done from the beginning in a DELIBERATE attempt to obfuscate why there was an initial 30 day delay, tie up ends so that people with short attention spans would not follow it. In the letter to the judge, they state there was a DRAFT header left on, and ONLY that was removed in the May 2017 submission. Saying NOTHING about the initial delay of 30 DAYS from January 15th to February 15th 2017. It is obfuscation.
I find this interesting. You ever see the movie "Pulp Fiction" where they blow off a guy's head in their car, and have to figure out how to quickly clean the car so they can drive it and the body to a place where it can be disposed of? (Time limitation because some guy's wife will be home in an hour and will see the gory car and cause problems) Harvey Kietel plays "The Wolf" who is a fixer for the crime organization, and he takes control, instructing them how to clean the car, sop up pools of blood, clean up bits of brains, and cover the blood covered seats with blankets so the car may be driven in public to a junkyard with a "crusher" that will take care of the body and the car in one swoop.
Point is, the car needs to be cleaned quickly, not completely. It needs to be made clean enough that a bystander, or a cop issuing a ticket for some reason might not look closely enough to raise an alarm that the inside of the car is splattered with blood. But if they DO take a close look (as a conscientious cop might do) then the jig would be up.
Like so many things in this huge scandal, the perpetrators of it tried to do enough that the appearance of preponderance of guilt on the part of the Trump team would be so obvious and huge, that the bait would be taken and disappear into the belly of the fish before any fish sniffs the bait closely enough to realize it is bait. Unfortunately for them, that did not happen. One thing came out, led to another, and another.
The 'little' piece of chicanery was never supposed to be 'seen'. Like the blankets over the seats in the gory car interior, people were supposed to see the letter and say "Oh. That's why there was a delay..." and allowing for confusion between the 30 day delay between the interview and first filing, and the first filing and the addendum.
As if that wasn't bad enough, Rosenweasel's scope memo expanded the list of people who could be investigated, allowing them to attempt to find material to backfill the ongoing FISA extractions...from the article: "...This memo also permits the investigation of Trumps lawyer Michael Cohen and all of his interests; and in ultimate weasel sunlight, Rosenstein authorizes an investigation of his boss, AG Jeff Sessions..."
No wonder Rosenweasel looked so scared standing behind Barr at the presser this week.
Funny you would say that...that is exactly what I was thinking when I watched the Barr press conference with Rosenweasel in the background.
Heh the post above was meant to be directed to you! I was thinking the same thing...
Trump, Barr and the DOJ have Rosenstein by the short hairs. Be a good boy Rod else there is a treason charge in your future.
Barr looked over his right when he introduced Rosenstein; Rosenstein was standing behind to his left. Wonder if that meant anything.
Spot on. Thing is, the time for the networks to ignore this and turn it into non-news has long since passed. They are doubling down on impeachment and obstruction, as people like Dan Bongino has been telling us they would for nearly a year now, and this has taken on a life and momentum of its own.
For going on two years, many of us were begging public figures to say what we knew, that this was a sham, and to publicly ask the pointed hard questions that could not be ignored. Devin Nunes, who has been one public figure out in front, did just that just a few days ago with these questions:
These are specific questions, if answered under oath in a hearing, will present the person being questioned with the horns of a dilemma: answer honestly, and you expose the cabal and yourself. Lie, and you perjure yourself.
Easter morning watching the sun climb into the sky. Cup of coffee and I opened this article having recently bookmarked it. How reliable is this site? They sure do present a lot of material with solid-appearing supportive evidence. The article itself is stunning. I always check myself when I read something like this to look for corroboration elsewhere so time will tell.
I too was curious about rosensteins face at the Barr press conference. He had announced his retirement some weeks ago. My mind postulates Barr telling him Hell No you arent retiring, you are staying to help clean this mess up and then, maybe, I will let you retire. Or at least that is what I want to have happened. I get the feeling Barr knows quite a bit. I wonder just how his name got in the mix for AG? Could it be that part of the deep state picked him and let DJT know that he would clean it up?
Enough of that, Happy Easter everyone and God Bless!.
“This level of overt corruption, and corrupt intent within the special counsel, is one of the many reasons why Rosenstein apologists and the trust the plan crew should be collectively slapped across the face with a cold fish.”
I was one of those people for a year. I have repented of my ways.
One interesting take on Barr’s testimony that ignited a firestorm regarding spying. Think about it, if there was no spying, and Barr claimed that there was, that would be perjury. On the other hand, if there was spying and Barr denied it, that would also be perjury.
Barr had no choice! And I can’t see him risking years in jail for Trump or anyone else. In other words, for the Democrats, be careful who you drag up there, as you may not like the outcome.
Which then gets me to thinking as to just how many people the Nadler and company will really want to drag up there...maybe it’s all a big bluff, since they already know they won’t find anything - but there could be huge kickback, as we just saw with Barr.
As yourself if the Media would have looked favorably on a special prosecutor looking into the big check that the Chinese wrote to Joe Biden’s kid, because THAT happened.
