He was never going to be President. He was there to assure Zero got his second term.
Santorum does poorly in the next 4 weeks in the 4 primaries (NH, SC, FL, NV), winning zero, and getting zero delegates...
but then on FEB 7 (Primaries for CO MO MN), he wins ALL THREE primaries, and gets only 21 delegates out of 103??? 82 delegates go to other candidates???
He had an outright majority in Missouri at 55%... Mitt at 25%, Paul at 12% and Newt at 1% all get delegates, and he gets only 13 of 49???
Santorum finishes with more than double Ron Paul's total primary votes, 24% to 11%, but gets only 38 to Paul's 98 delegates?
How did we not notice this?? How much did the RNC cheat to force Mittens on us, and then to throw the election to Obama?

A clarification about that ‘debate that Romney took a nose-dive for failing to mention Benghazi” - I remember it quite differently.
To be sure, I have been totally disillusioned by Mitt over his criticisms of Trump and never seeming to blame the lying and dishonest Hillary and her DNC over the Russian collusion hoax.
In 2012 Mitt totally demolished Obama in the first debate, so much so that the Democrats were nearly hysterical about it. Then in the second debate Romney was doing quite well when he brought up the Benghazi debacle and that Obama had refused to call the deaths of the ambassador and 3 other Americans a terrorist act. After Obama mumbled and then claimed he had called it terrorism Romney was about to contradict him when Candy Crowley inserted herself into the Presidential debate by siding with Obama. She claimed that Obama had declared it a terrorist attack.
This was a total lie and she should have been confronted by Romney right then and there. His lack of fortitude cost him the momentum and hence, the election. AND THAT, MY FRIENDS, IS WHY TRUMP WAS ABLE TO WIN IN 2020. HE WAS NOT AFRAID TO COUNTER ATTACK WHEN HE WAS BEING CONFRONTED WITH UNTRUTHS.
Establishment Republicans prefer Democrats or RINO’s to social conservatives. Those who think that the Rockefeller Republicans didn’t prefer Obama to Rick Santorum haven’t been paying attention.
