I laugh at how they call it the nerd prom. A futile attempt at self flattery, smugly pretending they are the misunderstood smart ones, the intellectuals.
I bet there isn’t a single math degree holder in attendance, not a single engineer or any sort. They are not the nerds with soft easy social science degrees IF they have one at all.

Always thought of their use of nerds was not the intellectuals, but the misfits that had no talents and could not relate to any normal human being.
