Leftist politicians go there to hobnob and share inside jokes and fawning adulation from their media friends and allies.
There has never been a reason since Reagan for any non-Democrat to go to those things.
I never understood why someone would go to be subjected to mean spirited abuse disguised as humor, directed only at non-Democrats.
