Dallas County's new district attorney announced his office will no longer prosecute "theft of necessary items" up to $750.
Finally theft has been legalized for someone other than the government.
The announcement drew an immediate reaction from small business owners who are worried that word of the policy will encourage shoplifting.

Yep. And since they passed that law crime has soared. No neighborhood is safe. The thieves all know they’ll get a slap on the wrist. If the police even bother with them. Most of the time they don’t.
Eventually this will spawn vigilantism just like it did 150 years ago. I can think of at least one hard working ethnic group here in California that won’t accept the idea that thieves can steal from them with impunity.
In California it’s the selling price. Thieves will steal $900 of merchandise.
Well I’m not sure what hard working ethnic group you’re talking about because here they’re the majority of the thieves.
This is being done in CA. also but the dollar amount is $900.00, I work in a major grocery chain AND we just let the thieves walk right out the door BECAUSE our police department no longer comes out due to NO PROSECUTION!!!! This has become INSANITY for business owners AND the thieves know it!!!

We have so many Ethnic Groups here now you need a program to keep them all straight.
I like how the latinos at work sorted everyone out. They labelled themselves Brownies or Chicanos or La Raza. Blacks are Blacks or Mayates. Whites are Anglos or YouPeople. Anyone remotely Asian is a Chino.
Simplifies everything and we all began using it. HR must have been pulling their hair out. They gave up trying to reeducate us.
