I hope there is a “resistance” in Europe. I would love to see candles and ceremonies held around Notre Dame on Good Friday and Easter, regardless of its ruin, by many more people than would probably have gone to Easter Mass. A ring of light around the cathedral.
I am pleased that it is not totally devastated. They need to rebuild, and more quickly than NYC did after 9/11.
It is really a strain on credibility to have such a disaster as an “accident” the day after Palm Sunday.
Weather permitting, they should have Easter Mass in the square in front of the Cathedral. Let the world know that ND is, and will remain, a Catholic Christian house of worship.
