The reporter making the speculation that this was arson, was in Paris reporting on the fire. Shep shut him down and ended the conversation. I had the arson thoughts myself. Notre Dame Cathedral was being restored by workers than many could have been Muslim. It would be easy to start a fire high up, while on a scaffold, just as the workers left the building at the end of the shift. The timing of the fire, just as Holy Week commenced, is too coincidental.
The fire broke out 5-10 minutes after the place closed to tourists.
Very easy for a “tourist” to stay behind in a hiding place, having spotted some fuel sources, esp. related to the wood renovation.
That’s my working guess. It’s also my guess that the French PTB will suppress any link to Islam.
It could have been atheists, communists, Satanists, Muslims,whatever. During Holyweek, day after Palm Sunday? A Cathedral, hundreds of years old that’s always under renovation? I just don’t think it was an accident.
