President Trump said Monday he will award pro golf great Tiger Woods with the Presidential Medal of Freedom on the heels of his comeback win at last weekend’s Masters Tournament.
“Spoke to @TigerWoods to congratulate him on the great victory he had in yesterday’s @TheMasters, & to inform him that because of his incredible Success & Comeback in Sports (Golf) and, more importantly, LIFE, I will be presenting him with the PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF FREEDOM!” Trump tweeted.
Woods’ victory on Sunday gave him his 15th major championship win and his fifth Masters title.
The announcers were talking about his “past problems/issues”....they are in the circle of those who actually know.

Sounds like it's pretty open about the description of merit...What's your point? Tiger did something great by winning the Masters again. Pi$$ing on a greatness parade usually puts the pi$$er in the minority of those present. At least that's what I've learned from doing the same... If only Don King could be there to yell "Only in America!" when the award ceremony happens.

I’d love to see Trump award a posthumous medal to Miles Davis for his splendid Jack Johnson movie soundtrack album. I mean Obama gave one to Little Stevie Wonder and James Taylor. Neither of whom are worthy of a tenth of a gram of dust from Mile’s boots music-wise.

Tiger refers to his ethnic make-up as “Cablinasian” (a syllabic abbreviation he coined from Caucasian, Black, American Indian, and Asian).
When he was first getting started and had won a major he appeared on Oprah Winfrey and she asked him how it felt to be an African American role model to so many. That’s when he said he had never thought much about it and let her know his mother was part Thai, Chinese and Dutch, and his father was black and part American Indian. I don’t think he ever went on her show again. Liberals don’t like him too much. I would suspect that the reason for that is, like most professional American golfers, he’s a republican and he’s been a friend of Donald Trump for years.
Have you not seen the list of recipients of the medal in the sports category? I suggest you do.
Tiger redefined the game. Most every golfer, especially the younger ones, grew up on Tiger. Tiger has done more for golf than anyone in the history of the game. Tiger has a real foundation to help kids.
If you are hung up on his personal life. Well, get over it. Tiger learned his lessons. He is working through his issues.
Tiger deserves it more than Uncle Joe.

However, anyone else doing the things he did would not have been able to keep up that crap for so long. He only survived because there were a lot of people relying on his $$$$ effect on golf and other sponsors.
