Jessica Swietoniowski of TheRebel.media reports: Immigration is one of the hot button issues for the upcoming federal election. So, I hit the streets of Toronto to ask citizens a few simple questions for their thoughts about bringing in refugees in particular.

Everyone and I mean EVERYONE will have the same reaction unless they are guaranteed protection and/or something to gain.
The best that Moe will get is a prayer in the street, some food, a few bucks and/or to be dropped off at the nearest homeless shelter.
I suggest this was a “staged” interview by the liberal media people to show how the Canadians feel toward helping immigrants be they legal or not, You will notice that not one of those who were interviewed said they would immediately open their doors to accept a supposed “immigrant”. Additionally, most interviewed we actually immigrants themselves as easily defined by their accents.
80% of the interviewees were immigrants themselves!
I have to think the concept for this segment was a bit off base... in the end after a few questions, the question put to the unsuspecting interviewees is “can you take this refugee with you right now?” I have no doubt that the folks being interviewed are hypocrites but that seems to an over the top premise...
There are a few versions of this scenario out there. The answers are always the same. It’s like asking people if we should all give generously to worth-while charities. The answer can’t be anything else but OF COURSE! Just don’t ask them to open up their wallets for any great sum of money. Most will be tapped out.
There’s no other answer than, “Of course we should be kind and take in immigrants.” Then you see, particularly the females, eyeing ol’ Mo up and down, imagining him staying in their house, wondering if you should hide all the knives.....no way. But if you SAY that, you’ll be splashed all over the news as a hateful bigot. Easier to sound like a good lib and then walk away.

This is great! There is a similar video from Sweden wherein everyone is all-in on accommodating “refugees” - until Ali is presented, and Hey! Can you put him up? The hypocritical backpedaling is fast, furious, delicious, and 100% completely expected.
I’m glad to see someone doing the same in English in North America.

Although many people might agree that it was over the top/unfair premise, it still boiled down to the NIMBY excuse. One of the couples remarked that ‘the government’ should ‘put them’ somewhere (else).
In other words, it’s OK for the government to ‘place’ illegals SOMEWHERE as long as it’s not THEIR HOUSE.
What do you imagine their reaction would be if the government decided to place the illegals AT THEIR HOUSE ?
Would it be the same as the DEMS reaction to President Trump saying that the ‘illegal border crossers’ need to be placed in ‘sanctuary cities’ ?
