The Federal government IS following the current Constitution as changed by court decisions etc for over 200 years.
We need a COS and amendments to turn that back to at least closer to the original intent of the Framers.

“The Federal government IS following the current Constitution as changed by court decisions etc for over 200 years.”

I understand your meaning but I believe in and campaign for PRECISION in language. Court decisions do not actually CHANGE the constitution. They merely change PERCEPTION. AMENDMENTS are the only things that actually change the constitution and there is no point in passing amendments so long as we have judges who think that the constitution is a “living, breathing document.”
